New Delhi: Giving a clean chit to the pub owners, an independent team of the Ministry for Women and Child Development (WCD) probing the Mangalore attack on Tuesday said it was only Shri Ram Sene which was responsible for the "heinous" incident.
Highly placed sources in the Ministry said the pub owners had arranged adequate security.
"There were two or three bouncers and that was enough for a restaurant of that kind," the sources said.
The Ministry had constituted a separate team led by Joint Secretary Kiran Chaddha after the NCW team led by member Nirmala Venkatesh had blamed the pub owners for not ensuring enough security for girls.
The two-member WCD team had met the victims and come to this conclusion.
